Is February your new January?

I don’t know about you, but for a lot of people including myself it’s been a funny start to the year. Almost like we’ve all been stuck in limbo in some way or another. Out of routine and not knowing what changes are around the corner. The uncertainty definitely doesn’t work in your favour, especially when trying to achieve your health and fitness goals for the new year.

Usually after the Christmas break and the new year starts we all try to get off on the right foot and get back into our routines but for a lot of you that might not have happened yet. Which i know will be leaving some of you feeling like ‘you’ve missed to boat’, back to bad habits and maybe a bit all over the shop.

So if this is you and you haven’t been able to get the ball rolling yet then I want you to take this opportunity to reset and readjust so you can get yourself going in February.

Here are 4 tips to help:

  1. The things that stopped you from starting in January will most likely happen again in February so don’t let the same problem happen again. Identify those problems and create a plan to overcome them.
  2. Don’t wait for Motivation, taking the first step and starting is what will build your momentum. Momentum = Motivation.
  3. Don’t try and ‘make’ something fit into your schedule if it’s going to create more pressure and/or stress. Create a routine that fits into your schedule with the least resistance.
  4. Remember doing something is better than nothing, so if you can’t do everything you’d expect to be able to do then reset your expectations and get what you can done. Even if it’s just once a week.

Time for you to get started! Of course if you need support in this area, we’d love to hear from you.
